Please will you make a donation to the Village Hall? Penkhull Village Hall Community Trust runs the village hall for the community. We do not receive external funding & rely on hire income for day to day running costs & maintenance. As a building of great age the maintenance bills are constant and our team of volunteers are doing a tremendous job on a shoestring budget! Donations are essential to help us to tackle problems that keep emerging like, for example, roof leaks & water damage. A regular donation reassures us that we have additional income to add to our funds and enable us to plan maintenance to pre-empt potential problems. A one off donation is also very welcome - it will go into the same pot and be used for maintenance of this very old building when needed. The hall now has a JUST GIVING page and you can go and have a look and make your donation by clicking... Take a quick look at what's available at the hall throughout the week - it's a busy place! Your hall needs you! There are three ways you can help keep the hub of our community going Click Here Apart from the occasional small grant we have secured over the years the hall doesn't get any external financial help towards its running costs, so relies on income from groups and individuals hiring the hall. The trustees keep hire costs as low as possible to make the hall available to our community. Like all homes and businesses the running costs for heating, lighting, water and other essential services are spiralling and we are finding it increasingly difficult to meet the maintenance costs of this old, failing building on top of the day to day bills. So, donations are essential to keep our community hub going. Can you help? A regular donation of any size, especially if it's GiftAided, would be an enormous help. A one-off donation is easy to make and is just as helpful! You can make a regular or one off donation by going to our Just Giving charity page... OR you can contact us directly and we'll let you know how to donate directly to us. Email: villagehallpenkhull@gmail.com or Phone 07926 880370 & leave a message (one of our Trustees will contact you - let us know when it's best to do that please). Thank you! Play Potto Lotto every week - you could win cash in the weekly draw and special prizes in the monthly Super Draw! We benefit by receiving 50p for every £1 ticket that you play! Sign up TODAY here Research shows that volunteering makes us happier. Can we help to make you happier? There is a dedicated but very small group of people currently volunteering and more are needed. There's a range of ways to get involved and you can choose when and for how long you offer your services. You could help in the Thursday community cafe (or make a cake for it occasionally), you could help setting up and taking down weekend events or you can help with the many and varied maintenance issues that arise in this old, failing building. So come and join us and get happy! email: villagehallpenkhull@gmail.com or ring 07926 880370 and let's chat about what interests you. Volunteers are not paid: not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless!

- About | Penkhull Village Ha
About Us Penkhull Village Hall Community Trust is run by the community for the community. It's registered with the Charity Commission (number 1176200) and has nine trustees, all of them volunteers. There are two part time paid employees - our business manager and our cleaner. Penkhull Village Hall is in use seven days a week. On Mondays to Fridays you will find a range of classes and activities for all ages during both day and evening time. We don't have regular groups at the weekend as we protect Saturdays and Sundays for the community to hire for parties, concerts, fundraising activities and other one-off events. The hall doesn't receive any grants for day to day running and relies solely on hire income to pay its considerable running costs and its even more considerable repair and maintenance costs. At nearly 200 years old, the building is feeling and showing its age (so are many of the trustees actually, although they're not 200 yet!) and we will soon need to take drastic action. Donations of both time and money are now essential to keeping the hall going. Take a look at our Supporting Your Hall page to see how you may be able to help.
